Set 2 Vintage VIANNE FRANCE Set 2 FROSTED FLORAL GLASS Lamp Shades RUFFLED EDGE
Size 5.5\" diameter across ruffled top, height is 5\", base that fits within lamp fitter is 2 1/8\"

Circa 1950s, Handmade in France. Each marked with the Vianne name incorporated up the side of the floral design
Matching set [identical pattern on each]
Features a clear satin glass with an almost Vaseline-glass type finish which has a slightly iridescent sheen- beautiful. Top rims are a rich amber glass color, which fades to clear at the base. The iridescent colors are soft pinks, peaches, aquas, and yellows in the light. These colors SHOW THROUGH the glass when lit. It is a soft and subtle effect.
Outside of shades has an incredible etched frosted pattern of a ring of flowers and leaves. Elegant and classic.
Top rim has a ruffled glass consisting of 8 sections
These can face UPWARDS or DOWNWARDS from upward/downward facing sconce or chandelier bulbs. The larger opening is at the top of the shade.
Excellent condition, some extremely minor TINY flakes and fleabite nicks along the base of each shade where they sit within a fitter on lamp- absolutely normal for age and very minor. So small that they are difficult to see w naked eye. Without any damage or wear of any kind. No scratches, rub marks, chips, no damage to iridescent finish. A fabulous, collectible pair. Very unique, would make gorgeous statement shades on any lamp. Would be wonderful on a double light sconce, or 2 separate sconces.
A fabulous set. Vianne was known for producing marvelous glass lamp shades, the best of the best. They are highly collectible.
Would look great in any setting
Like works of art with a lamp turned off or on.
