Pair of Art Nouveau bronze three-light candelabra signed Firmin Bate, circa 1900. Each is modeled as an elongated stylized female figure emerging organically from a naturalistic circular base, her raised arms transforming into branching stems terminating in three flower-form candle cups. The sinuous figural modeling, flowing botanical forms, and sculptural integration of the female figure with plant motifs are characteristic of the Art Nouveau period. The bronzes retain a rich brown patina with areas of green oxidation and surface variation. Each measures approximately 22.25 in. Tall and 5” Wide.
