Pair Of 8” Dia. Plates, W.T. Copeland & Sons, Produced Aug. 1880, “Rome” Pattern For Sale

These are two antique bread and butter/dessert plates manufactured by the famous English pottery firm W.T. Copeland & Sons. Featuring intricate scrolling transferware in black on a warm beige background, the pattern is “Rome”. Stamped with a manufacturer date of August, 1880, (“T” for August, “80” for 1880) the plates measure 7.75” in diameter. One of the plates has a small chip on the back at the edge, but it is not that noticeable from the front. Overall they are in amazing condition for their age.
