This is a beautiful, elegant pair of vintage or antique-style cranberry glass hurricane lamps or mantle lusters featuring etched floral designs and hanging crystal prisms. They could be used with candles or wired for electric as they have everything ready for wiring. The tops don’t connect strongly to the middle. The last owner used putty but I would suggest glue.
This is a DIY piece so let’s talk about the parts individually. 1. The middle is spectacular. You can see a ruby red hand painted and gilded section that is probably antique, reminiscent of 19th-century Baccarat style or Bohemian glass designs.2. The crystals. These are also quite old and beautiful. Some chips- see pictures.
3. The globes-cranberry glass hurricane lamp configuration was likely produced during the Mid-20th Century revival period (circa 1940s–1960s), though the style it copies originates from much earlier. 4. The base- This appears to be a vintage cut-crystal table lamp featuring faceted geometric accents and a square base. Probably 50’s or 60’s.
