SOME INSIGHT AS TO WHY HERDING CATS WAS CREATED, DIRECT FROM REAL MUSGRAVE HIMSELF -

"I do not know if you are aware of the special significance of the piece, "Herding Cats". When Sun and John askedif we would be willing to do an event with them to mark our 5th year of retirement, we all realized it would only work if I could produce a new special limited edition figurine. I was willing to sculpt it as long as I could convince a lot of people in England and China to do this huge favor for me. The people in England all worked on the R&D as volunteers and the people in China gave us a break they could not actually afford as a business matter. We all worked on it for about a year so that sales of this special Limited Edition could benefit the passion Muff and I had developed for an all volunteer animal charity- The Flower Mound Humane Society. That organization has now expanded its scope to include much more than simple local animal rescue and so been renamed Humane Tomorrow. This one figurine was produced under different circumstances and different arrangements than any other (under License rather than by purchase) with profits to be split between Precious Gifts and the charity.After the floods we were under the impression that the Pocket Dragon stock had all been destroyed. We are thrilled that Pocket Dragons and especially "Herding Cats" have survived. It is truly gratifying and quite humbling to know that Pocket Dragons still touch people's hearts and that they know the inspiration a little brown dog and a bunch of kittens could be.With Magic!Real Musgrave
