- Original luggage label from the Pousada de S. Braz d\'Alportel, located in the Algarve region of southern Portugal, part of Portugal\'s state-run pousada inn in bold red with a decorative filigree heart at center, drawn from the traditional Portuguese \"coração de Viana\" folk motif, with the pousada name lettered above and below in a bold serif style.
Provenance and Exchange Markings
- The reverse carries a faded ink address stamp for João Manuel P. Pires of Faro, Portugal, along with additional purple stamp impressions that have largely faded with time. This kind of correspondence between collectors was typical of the hotel label exchange network active among European collectors through the mid-20th century, familiar ground for stamp and cinderella a visible crease across the lower right corner consistent with age. The front design and lettering remain clear and fully legible.
