This piece is created by the mixed media artist, Bev.Walker of Springhouse Simples. It features a Raleigh pepper spice tin in greens and gold. It is backed with a handmade scarecrow and lots of fall tags and a fall butterfly. On top of the tin is a little sign saying “it’s lovely weather for hayride. “Behind it is a pumpkin, corn from a cornfield, and miniature pumpkins. On the front of the tin is a wreath saying “I love fall, “ and a string of pumpkins and gourds. This would look great in your kitchen, or on a counter for a festive holiday day decoration.
Spice tins are no longer being made of tin but instead being replaced with plastic and glass. So this vintage tin is a piece of Americana.
