Vintage 1994 Schmid “James the Red Engine” Thomas the Tank Engine porcelain music box figurine. This collectible features James (#5) riding along a detailed countryside railway base with a sheep figure and textured track.
The music box works perfectly and plays when activated using the switch on the underside. These Schmid Thomas pieces were licensed collectibles produced in the 1990s and are popular with Thomas & Friends collectors and vintage music box collectors.
This example is missing the Sir Topham Hatt figure that normally stands at the front of the track (a common issue with these). The music box function is unaffected.
A great display piece for Thomas the Tank Engine fans, collectors, or nursery décor.
