Obscure vintage 1971, Black Women\'s League Photography Competition, two-sided carboard poster sign.This piece is a survivor!!As you can see in the photos, this sign was obviously used and displayed.
The only other example I have been able to find of this poster is held in the Smithsonian, Record Unit 503.See the Smithsonian website in their \"Archive + Design: Posters\" posting on February 11th, 2020.Or you can right click and search the image via Google Lens on your computer...
When researching the judges names listed on the poster, each individual played an important role in breaking through racial and barriers in their respected photography field.Really a great piece of Black American history!
This piece measures roughly 17\" wide X 22\" tall.Natural age related wear may be possible to be found on both sides of the poster.
