2 YDS - 24" WIDEVERY RARE ANTIQUE FABRIC1860'S - 1880'SWHEELWRIGHT & ANDERSON CO NEW YORK++++++++++++++++++++This antique fabric is coming from my personal collection...I purchased it about 30 years ago and have stored it away in a very safe and secure place. The fabric has held up extremely well considering it's age, 130-160 years old. This year I took it out of the box and was looking at the backside and came across the company label. After doing some research on the internet this is what I learned:Wheelwright, Anderson & Co. was a 19th-century dry goods commission business headquartered in Boston with a New York branch at 74 Worth Street.Historical Overview

• 19th-Century Operations: Operating during the 1860s through the 1880s, the firm functioned as dry goods and commission merchants, handling textiles and cotton products distributed across regional American trade hubs including Boston and New York.
• Notable Affiliates: Civil War veteran and diarist Benjamin W. Crowninshield was famously associated with the firm after joining them in Boston in 1868 following his stint in the New York dry goods trade.

I have a nice big 10 yard piece but am selling the fabric in 2 yard increments. It is not laundered and the colors are still very vibrant. The fabric is 100% cotton, 24" wide. The company label will NOT be on the piece of fabric you receive.
