RARE Edwardian Grocers White Ironstone Pure Butter Slab G Rushbrooke England 19c For Sale

Fantastic & very Rare!!!! 19th century Edwardian/Victorian grocers butter slab. Marked with the “G RUSHBROOKE SMITHFIELD” stamp. These ironstone slabs would be used to keep pure butter on display at local grocer shops. The ironstone slab would sit on top of ice for customers to view and purchase. These are EXTREMELY RARE. Many reproductions exist, but this is original! This is a fine example but not perfect. There is crazing and some staining. In addition a crack was repaired and the glue has yellowed over time. Despite these age spots this piece is highly collectible and would be a fantastic addition to a collection. This piece is approximately 13” square and 2.5” high.
