RARE Favorite Piqua Ware [ Ohio ] Miami Maimi Diamond Cast Iron Skillet Pan FLAT:
$321.19

Identification & Dating
  • Maker: Favorite Stove & Range Co., Piqua, Ohio

  • Marking: “FAVORITE PIQUA WARE” + diamond-shaped MIAMI logo

  • Size: #7 (about 9.25" diameter) x 1.75" T

  • Era:

    • The MIAMI series was produced roughly 1920–1935, during the later years of Favorite’s operations.

    • Miami skillets are generally believed to be a mid-grade line, but they were still well cast and machined — nearly identical to the quality to the premium Piqua Ware skillets.

So your piece dates to the 1920s or early 1930s, right before Favorite’s closure in 1935.

Collectibility
  • The Miami-marked skillets are not as common as the standard Piqua Ware, so collectors like to grab them when they pop up.

  • The diamond-shaped Miami logo gives it some extra display value — it’s visually striking compared to the plain Piqua markings.

Condition Highlights
  • Cooking Surface: Smooth, glassy, and even, no pitting — perfect for daily cooking.

  • Bottom: Crisp logos, continuous heat ring, no cracks.

  • Flatness: Sits dead flat on a marble counter top.

  • Weight: 3 lb. 7 oz. — nice light vintage weight.

  • Finely Cast: See pics - sidewalls are thinner than a us nickel!
