The original hexagonal schorl (black tourmaline) crystal remains preserved within the specimen, while later generations of translucent mint-green fluorite crystallized around it, creating a natural perimorph.
The base of the specimen exposes the original schorl core, revealing its sharply defined hexagonal cross-section. At the opposite end, the fluorite has developed into a crown of beautifully formed crystals displaying delicate lavender to purple zoning across the terminations, with no visible damage!
The contrast between the vibrant green fluorite, subtle purple phantom-like zoning, and the black tourmaline core creates an exceptional display from every angle.
