RARE Hebrew postcard by Rabbi Yeruchum Zev Ciechanowicz 1950 to Rabbi Isaac Sodden
Rabbi Yeruchum Zev Ciechanowicz was a Jewish scholar and writer associated with the American Orthodox Jewish community. He is remembered especially for his Torah writings, including Pri Yerucham, a work containing insights and explanations on Psalms and teachings of the Sages, published in New York in 1939. His writings reflect the traditional Torah scholarship that continued to flourish among American Jewry during the early twentieth century.
Rabbi Isaac Sodden (d. 1981) was a prominent Orthodox rabbi who served Congregation Ohav Shalom in Brooklyn for many years. His rabbinic career spanned more than six decades, and he was the author of several Hebrew works, including Pnei HaShulchan on halachah and Toldoth Yitzchak. He was also active in the wider American rabbinic community.
