Midcentury Modern design at its most sleek style, this Italian cocktail shaker mirrors a design made by the refined bar and tableware firm, Forzani.
A three-piece design (body, top with self-strainer, and cap) standing a slender 12.5" tall (3.0" diameter), this well-made cocktail shaker is shaped into a modernist bottle of gleaming brass. It has been professionally polished to highlight its pristine condition, but it will achieve a rich brass patina if left unpolished.
It has been in my personal collection since 1990, and has been very well cared for. It is in exceptional condition for its near-70 years of age with no dings, no dents, no loss of brass finish, no out-of-rounding and hardly any surface abrasion or scratches.
Signed on the bottom, as shown, "MADE IN ITALY". A silver-plated version of this shaker is found on page 30 of Simon Khachadourian's, The Cocktail Shaker.
