RARE WW US Army Air Corps Kwik-Way 9132\" Drive Torque Wrench Set Box:
$135.00

Museum-Quality Complete WWII U.S. Army Air Corps Kwik-Way.
9132\" Drive Torque Wrench Kit-Complete with Original Black Steel Case & Paper Operating Manual (Circa 1939-1945)
Overview:
Up for sale is a premium collector\'s ensemble representing World War Il aviation maintenance history. This is an original, military-contract 9/32\" square drive Kwik-Way torque indicating wrench manufactured by the Cedar Rapids Engineering Company under U.S.
Patent No. 2,159,354. The 9/32\" drive size was intentionally standardized by the U.S. military during WWIl to prevent standard 1/4\" commercial tools from interfering with critical, calibrated airfield equipment. To find the rare 12-inch profile wrench intact is tough, but finding it alongside its original heavy steel transit box and the highly fragile original paper operating booklet is exceptionally rare.
Condition Details:
• The Wrench: Features a total length of exactly 12 inches. The square drive measures true to the historical 9/32\" standard. The deflecting beam mechanics function fluidly, and the metal components feature a clean, authentic vintage patina.
• The Dial Indicator: The dial glass crystal is entirely clear and free of cracks. The dial text (\"Kwik-lay Torque Indicating Wrench\") is old and perfectly preserved. The measuring needle rests correctly on zero.
• The Steel Transit Case:
Structurally solid with smooth-operating latches and hinges. The internal felt landing pads on the underside of the lid are still present to cushion the dial face. Shows minor surface scuffs and paint thinning consistent with military use.
• The Manual: The original paper instruction leaflet is complete and fully legible. It preserves vital wartime instructions regarding precise torque specifications for spark plugs to avoid engine overheating.
Collector Note:
Because this set features the elusive 9/32\" drive and retains both its case and manual, it stands as an elite centerpiece for advanced tool collectors, WWII aviation historians, or militaria displays.
