Vintage Extremely Rare Vietnam Era Original Western Bird Head L46-8 Fixed Blade Bowie Type Fighting Knife - made in Boulder, CO. USA - estimated early to mid 60's "L" model - in very good condition - 8 inch carbon steel blade, 13 inch overall length - wide fullers - double brass guard - stacked leather washer handle - drop point blade - original leather sheath - this is what I carried while in the U.S. Army 1967-70. The bird head type pommel is the rarest and is highly collectible of the L46-8 model, of which is very hard to find in this good used condition. Nice sharp blade with no defects.
