Railway print Stockton and Darlington Railway George Stephenson\'s Locomotion one For Sale

This is one of the Original Artists Proofs of the official commemorative series of 6 engraved prints By The Artist Alan Tinley (b.1946) created in 1975 to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Stockton and Darlington Railway.
These have been in storage for the last 50 years and have acquired some age related marks (watermarks and discolouration) but are otherwise in original condition and have never been mounted for exhibition.There are some staple marks in the far corners from when the artist initially put these up in his studio in 1975 but these being in the corners would be obscured once the prints are framed.Each print has acquired it\'s own blemishes and this print has 2 small water marks top middle and top left corner. (see photos )The only other editions that I know of are the fourth edition of these are held at Darlington Town Hall in the Darlington Borough art collection, this can be found by a quick google search as will not permit external links.
These represent a rare opportunity to purchase some genuine railway history and although they have acquired a certain patina of age they are of the finest quality.Size: Double Crown 20\" x 30\" (508 x762mm)
