Rare 1913 Fox's Theatre ~ Waterbury, CT ~ Vaudeville & KINEMACOLOR Booklet:
$49.00

Rare, authentic 20-page 1913 advertising program and booklet for "Fox's Theatre" in Waterbury, Connecticut. This 113- year-old piece of early American entertainment ephemera captures a fleeting moment in cinema history.
In 1913, film pioneer William Fox briefly leased and operated Waterbury's newly opened Strand Theatre under his own name before it reverted back to the Strand banner. This booklet features a photo print of William Fox. At the bottom of the cover, alongside the publisher credit: Milton Stern, Publisher of Fox's Program, Chase Bldg.
This program proudly advertises "High Class Vaudeville" alongside "Kinemacolor" and "Select Photo Plays." Kinemacolor was the world's very first successful commercial color motion picture process, which debuted and collapsed in a wave of lawsuits right around 1913, making any surviving ephemera featuring the Kinemacolor brand highly prized by early tech and film historians.
This is a fantastic addition for collectors of early silent film history, pre-Fox Film Corporation memorabilia, Connecticut regional history, or vintage theatrical advertising. It is filled with fascinating period local advertisements. Booklet measure approx. 6 x 9 inches; 20-pages (including covers). One page is lose; old vertical fold; moderate wear and handling to back cover. Still in good collectible condition. Scarce piece of ephemera!
