The inside of the lid features a beautifully detailed engraved scene marked “IBM COUNTRY CLUB.” The exterior also features an early Business International Machines emblem.
A wonderful piece of early IBM corporate history from the Thomas J. Watson era. I have been unable to locate another identical example.
Heavy, solid construction with two interior compartments and a black base. Shows scratches, finish wear, discoloration and other age-related wear consistent with an original 1940 piece.
