Extremely Rare Wilhelm Schiller & Son Figural Match Holder & Pipe/Cigar Holder
This is a rare 19th century Austrian terracotta piece created by Wilhelm Schiller & Son. It features a boy holding a fishing net in which a large fish is lying. The boy is leaning against a tree stump that is the pipe/cigar holder. On the other side is a large basket that held the matches. The striker is on the lower right side of the base. The fish and net are lying in a bowl-like depression that (I am guessing) was used both as a alternate match striker as well as an ash collector.
