The hinged box has a black ground, gold ornamental border, miniature narrative painting, and red lacquer interior.The lid is inscribed in Cyrillic for “Palekh” and “Konyok-Gorbunok,” the classic Little Humpbacked Horse fairy tale. Dating is attributed to the 1970s–1980s. Measures roughly 3 x 2.25 inches.Great pre-owned condition.
