Rare Set Of Olive Fell Christmas Cards. These are authentic vintage cards designed and printed by the artist in her studio in Wapiti, WY. Olive Fell (1896-1980 was born in Montana near Big Timber and moved to Cody, WY as a young child.
These cards are unique with the logo on the bell card having a red outline.They are not sold with envelopes.
Olive Fell studied at the University of Wyoming, the Art Institute of Chicago and the Arts Students League in New York City. Fell was recognized in 1934 by the Society of American Etchers that selected one of her etchings as part of the one hundred best prints of the year.
Olive Fell was skilled in printmaking, painting , and sculpting and spent most of her career as an etcher. She was best known for her whimsical bear art. Many of her works can be viewed at The Whitney Western Art Museum in Cody, Wyoming.
These cards are flat and unfolded. The paper shows age but the colors are vibrant.
