Vintage Shirley Temple “Baby Take A Bow” chalkware figurine, approximately 9 inches tall. Features Shirley in her iconic curly hairstyle and flared dancing dress with pink accents, posed beside a decorative column with floral details. We are not sure the date this was manufactured, but it is from the 30s to the 50s.
Unmarked on the bottom. A comparable 9-inch example is also identified as chalkware, while the documented rock-salt examples are considerably smaller, so I believe chalkware is the appropriate description for this piece.
Condition: Vintage pre-owned condition with considerable age-related wear. There are multiple chips, nicks and areas of paint loss, including along the dress/skirt, sleeves, arms, hair and other raised areas. There is also surface discoloration/soiling consistent with age. Please review all photos closely as they show the condition and are part of the description.
