Offered is a rare set of three original vintage theatrical glass slides dating from the WWII era. These are genuine glass projection slides in their original cardboard theater mounts, not modern reproductions.
Includes:
- Captains of the Clouds (1942) – James Cagney, Dennis Morgan, Brenda Marshall – Warner Bros.
- Star Spangled Rhythm (1942) – Paramount Pictures – featuring an all-star cast
- Hitler’s Children (1943) – RKO Radio Pictures – Tim Holt, Bonita Granville, Kent Smith
The slides feature colorful original movie advertising artwork and were made for theatrical projection/display in movie theaters during the early 1940s.
The Hitler’s Children slide appears to be particularly scarce; I have been unable to locate another example of this specific glass theater slide.
All three retain their original cardboard mounts, with expected age-related wear, staining, discoloration, rusted staples and surface patina. Please examine all photos carefully for condition.
A wonderful opportunity for collectors of vintage movie memorabilia, Hollywood history, WWII-era advertising, theatrical artifacts and glass projection slides.
Three authentic 1940s glass movie slides offered together as one collection.
