Up for sale is a remarkable find for the automotive historian or Lincoln enthusiast: a Lincoln-Mercury "Milestone 72" commemorative set. This collection was issued to celebrate the achievement of 500,000 units in July 1972.
It is exceptionally rare to find all of these pieces kept together as a single, cohesive set. Most often, these items are separated over the decades, making this a unique opportunity to own the full executive commemorative kit.
The Set Includes:
• Six (6) Lowball/Rocks Glasses: Elegant smoke-grey tinted glass featuring the gold-etched Lincoln star logo, gold-leaf rims, and weighted "bubble" bases.
• One (1) Circular Bronze-tone Medallion: Labeled "Lincoln-Mercury Milestone 72 - 500,000 - July 1972."
• One (1) Shaped Eagle Plaque: A heavy, cast-metal "Milestone 72" eagle crest for display.
Condition Notes:
• Glassware: Five (5) of the glasses are in very good vintage condition with crisp logos and vibrant gold rims. One (1) glass is in fair condition, showing more noticeable wear to the gold rim or etching (please see photos for comparison).
• Plaques: Both pieces feature a beautiful aged patina. The cast metal is solid with no structural damage.
