Excellent vintage pan from France. Raised block lettering on the underside stating \"COUSANCES\" and \"MADE IN FRANCE\". No cracks, pitting, or warping.
Type: Cast iron bread loaf pan / pâté terrine mold with side lug handles. It features a dark satin black enamel / raw-look protective finish (a hallmark of certain vintage French cookware pieces).
Age / Production EraEstimated Age: 1950s – 1970s (Pre-Le Creuset buyout era).

Historical Background: Cousances was acquired by Le Creuset in 1957, but Le Creuset continued casting cookware under the standalone Cousances brand name into the late 1970s before fully phasing it out.
