Thisis a antique copper theca with silver front, inside a relic (of the clothing) ofSaint Thérèse of Lisieux. Relic in place, and wax seal andthreads intact.There is some dust in the theca.Sealed with the seal of theCarmelites. Comes from a convent in Belgium. Diameter 1,4inch.Shipping and handling US$ 37.00 by insuredpriority mail and tracking number. All my items are securely packet, to avoidall possible damage ( look at my response).

Born to a pious middle-classFrenchfamilyof tradesmen; daughter ofBlessedLouis MartinandBlessedMarie-AzelieGuérin Martin, and all four of her sisters becamenuns. HermotherdiedwhenFrancoise-Marie was only four, and the family moved to Lisieux, Normandy,Francetobe closer to family.Curedfrom anillnessat age eightwhen a statue of theBlessed Virginsmiled at her.EducatedbytheBenedictinenuns of Notre-Dame-du-Pre.Confirmedthereat age eleven. Just before her 14th birthday she received avisionofthe Child Jesus; she immediately understood the great sacrifice that had beenmade for her, and developed an unshakeablefaith. Tried to join theCarmelites,but was turned down due to her age.PilgrimtoRome,Italyatfor the Jubilee ofPopeLeo XIIIwhom she met and who knew ofher desire to become anun. Joined theCarmelitesat Lisieuxon9 April1888at age 15, taking her final vow on8September1890at age 17. Known by all for her complete devotion tospiritual development and to the austerities of theCarmeliterule.Due to health problems resulting from her ongoing fight withtuberculosis,her superiors ordered her not tofast. Novice mistress at age 20. At age22 she was ordered by her prioress to beginwritingher memories andideas, which material would turn into the bookHistory of a Soul. Therese defined her path toGodandholiness asThe Little Way,which consisted of child-like love and trust inGod. She had an on-goingcorrespondence withCarmelitemissionariesinChina, oftenstating how much she wanted to come work with them. Manymiraclesattributedto her. Declared aDoctor of the Churchin1997byPopeJohnPaul II.
