Rough Rider RR267, Serpentine Stockman Red Jigged Bone,3-1/2", 3-Blades, with rounded, pocketfriendlycorners. Vintage 2000. Brand NEW from 25-year old stock, thus the"Rider" not "Ryder" name.
PERFECT! You wanna see the old Rough Rider at it's best? Here it is, look quick. "But Handyman, this is just an ole 3-1/2" Red Bone Stockman!" Yep, and therein lies some of this mornin's beauty - a pocketknife, a modestly priced pocket knife, you'd be proud to carry and produce at any time. If it was a Case, they'd probably say Pocket Worn handles. Whatever you wanna call it, I challenge you to find a flaw in it . . . I'll wait, even added a few extra pictures to help you. That "smudge" to the right of the blade etch? I think that is actually the mounted Rough Rider, but if'n you wanna call it a smudge, I'll give you that one. Rub marks on the back side of the Sheepsfoot blade? You got me, close fitting blades in a tight frame. That funny tip on the Spey blade? Yeah, it's not the "standard", but by no means rare, it's on a lotta knives. So there you have it. The perfect, simple pocketknife. Sometimes it's fun just to stop and admire good work. The Price? Yeah, I'm not serious, just wanna hold it on here long enough for some of you to see it.
Mornin' to you knife folks!
Many different Stockman knives have been produced, somewith big differences, some designs tweaked here and there. Probably atestament to its continuing popularity. The "Serpentine" inthis name is me, not official. What? I can't make a management decisiononce a month?
Never used, never sharpened, never carried, gentlycleaned, been in my sole possession for over 25 years, bought as new.
Arced match strike pulls. Plain, rounded nickel silverbolsters, flipped end to end. "Rough Rider" stamped on the mainblade tang, and the "RoughRider" horseshoe & "ALWAYS READY!" is etched across the face ofthe narrow, Skinner Clip blade.Original tan boxincluded, in reasonably good condition, especially for 25+ years.
Pictures are of the actual knife the buyerwill receive.
Springs are stiff, especially on the two smaller blades, but they are thumbnail capable. You'll be rewarded with a closing "SNAP!"
Rough Rider qualityrivals Case for a fraction ofthe price, and makes it affordable to carry and use collectible gradeknives.
Would make a dandy knife to carry, with its pocket size, andthe ever-handy Sheepsfoot blade. Like that is arevelation? The Stockman design has been a favorite POCKET knife for along time.
