The flowers are unisexual, single, white. Staminate and pistillate flowers are found on different plants, male flowers are slightly larger. There are five sepals and petals; stamens and pistils are numerous. It blooms in June — July, and after 40-45 days the berries ripen.The fruit is a combined drupe with a diameter of 1.5 cm, in shape resembles the fruits of raspberries, but it has a special smell and taste. Seeds of cloudberries should be soaked for 2 days. Then put into semi-moist perlite/coconut fiber/ or another semi-moist substrate and placed into fridge with temperature +1-+5 degrees Celsius for 2-3 months. After that they will grow well and quickly. Without this procedure they might not germinate.
