Kaweco SKETCH UP sign pencil
The earliest surviving specimen of a mechanical pencil was found in the wreck of the 1791 sunk frigate HMS Pandora, which was once sent out to capture the mutineers of the Bounty.
Since the beginning of the 20th century, Kaweco also produces all types of mechanical pencils. Kaweco drop pencils became very popular in the 1950s due to the heyday of technical drawing. Even today, the pencil from the Skech Up series are often used for sketching.
The metallic body made of high-quality brass or aluminium gives these writing instruments that special feel and elegance. From lightweight for on the go made of aluminium, individually thanks to the natural and individual patina of brass, to the chrome-plated version.

For the Sketch Up fall pencil, there are graphite leads in hardness 5B as a refill pack. In addition, the range includes all-purpose pen refills, which are suitable for various surfaces.
