This antique picture features Saint Anthony of Padua holding the Child Jesus. Saint Anthony was a 13th century Franciscan priest and doctor of the Church.
The white lilies at the bottom right corner of this print represent purity and are the traditional flower associated with Saint Anthony.
Prints of this specific devotional painting were widely produced in the early-to-mid 20th century for Catholic homes, schools and chapels.
This print is framed with an old gold wooden frame and it has a wire for hanging. The print is covered with protective glass. The frame measures approximately 17.3” wide by 22.5” tall by .75” deep. Due to its age, this frame has some scuff marks where the paint is missing.
