Scarce Original WW1 US M1907 Sling For 03 Springfield or M1917 For Sale

Offered is an original World War One production United States military issue Model 1907 leather sling made for use with the 1903 Springfield or Model 1917 rifles. This will also fit an M1 Garand (the M1907 was used extensively with the Garand during World War Two) and was used on Trench Shotguns as well. This unmarked sling is correctly has brass claws, both of which remain tight and solid. It also has its original sewn keeper. This sling is full length and I have never modified, repaired, cleaned, or polished it. Overall the sling shows only norma wear and checking (and would likely clean up quite nicely if one were so inclined). These slings have become difficult to find, as the repros and fakes greatly outnumber the originals. It is offered as pictured.
