Set 2 Antique VICTORIAN PORCELAIN CHILDRENS MUGS c1880s GIRL\'S PORTRAITS w Gold
Size approx. 2 7/8\" tall x 2.25\" across top opening, base is 2\" diameter. Both mugs are identical in size and made at the same time by the same company as a set.

Very good antique condition, no damage or repairs, no nicks chips cracks scratches, a great pair of children\'s mugs genuine 1800s. Hand applied gold gilding is quite worn on the handle and surround of one mug, but almost intact and unworn on the other mug. See all pics and use zoom. No fading to images and no signs of use inside. Wear is absolutely normal for antique age . Nice embossed beading to porcelain. Most likely German or Bavarian due to lavish design work but the wording with name of country is blurred on their undersides.
Color of mugs are glossywhite porcelain with a high shine glaze
One girl is wearing a traditional costume and the other is dressed in a \'modern\' fashion, although the colors of their clothes are similar. Blue hats, green vests. Lovely.
Very collectible set, would be charming on display.
