While the logo says \"Est 1988\" these glasses are contemporary and were manufactured during 2010 and 2020. The \"Nonic\" style was patented by Hugo Pick in 1913 and the name \"Nonic\" comes from \"No Nick\" as the bulge prevents the fragile rims of the glasses from clashing against each other when clinked, stacked or tipped over which dramatically reduces chip and breakage.
