This substantial railroad-history volume includes photographs, maps, historical information, and a title-page illustration created by the author depicting Santa Fe’s Grand Canyon Limited overtaking a Southern Pacific freight train.
Published by Golden West Books in 1983, the hardcover retains its illustrated dust jacket.
Overall good condition. The dust jacket has edge wear, creasing, tears, and a prominent old Scotch-tape repair across the upper-right portion of the front panel. Additional tearing and paper loss are present along the jacket edges, and the reverse side of the jacket and the top of the book block has foxing. The hardcover book itself remains solid and presentable.
