This vintage postcard features a pretty young woman dressed in a butterfly costume. She is wearing what appears to be, Monarch Butterfly wings. Could this woman be an actress appearing in \"Madame Butterfly\"? Originally, M Butterfly was an opera based on a short story published in 1898. David Belasco dramatized the story and turned it into a play that opened in New York in 1900. This postcard has some silvering and is in overall good condition (see scans).
