Offered is a Lamberton Scammell China platter featuring a floral board with a central crest and measuring 8-1/8\" x 5-3/4\". It was made for the Red Lion Inn hotel in Stockbridge, Massachusetts in 1938.
Stockbridge is a town in the Berkshires, in western Massachusetts. It’s home to the Norman Rockwell Museum, showcasing the 20th-century artist’s work and studio. The Naumkeag estate includes an 1886 mansion and gardens. Chesterwood was the home of Lincoln Memorial sculptor Daniel Chester French, and has a rotating outdoor sculpture exhibitions. Native plants are displayed at the Berkshire Botanical Garden (never finished but there is some good history on this place)
