He was able to obtain a multitude of quality steam and early diesel photos that were taken over the years by some of the most noted rail photographers of that period.Over 120 station locations are presented along with trackside industries, and small town views. Ham’s books are always full of contributions from a diverse group of collectors, photographers, and railroad historians. More than 600 photographs grace 336 pages, including a color section.Many of their original negatives and prints have been graciously loaned for use in this book by different historical societies, New England towns & city archives and well known collectors.
