A vintage Tower of London souvenir mug with a bold red, black, and white design that wraps around the cup. One side shows the Tower’s walls and turrets with a Union Jack flying overhead. On either side of the castle stands a Yeoman Warder, commonly called a Beefeater, in his traditional red ceremonial uniform.
The design has wonderful detail, from the guards’ hats and halberds to the windows and stonework of the Tower. “H M Tower of London” is printed vertically beside one of the guards. A lovely piece of London travel memorabilia for a British history collection, a souvenir mug collection, or anyone who remembers a visit to the Tower.
Likely made in the late 20th century. Pristine condition.
