This listing is for Two Book Saucy Stories Vol. 1, No. 1 — Summer 1936, the rare first issue of this unusual pulp title.Included in this issue is“Star of Satan” by Milton S. Grant and stories by Nelson Kent, Will Gibson,William G. Bogart, & others.
This consists of rebound copies of Saucy Movie Tales. What makes these books particularly interesting is that the contents vary from copy to copy.I am aware of only three examples of this extremely rare issue. All three contain the March 1936 issue of Saucy Movie Tales, but each is bound with a different second issue. This particular copy contains the March 1936 and June 1936 issues.
Considering how few examples of Two Book Saucy Stories appear to have survived, finding another copy containing this exact combination of rebound issues would be extraordinarily difficult. This is a fascinating rarity for the advanced pulp, spicy pulp, or pre-war magazine collector.
This book is in GD condition. It has wear/tearing/creasing/staining to its cover edges. The interior paper is supple w/some nibbling at the outer corners.
