Up for sale today is an Original U.S. Air Force Issued A-2 Leather Flight Jacket. This one was made by Avirex LTD., and it is a size 48 Long. The actual measurements of this jacket are as follows: Laid flat the armpit to armpit is 25 inches, the shoulder seam to shoulder seam is 22 inches, the shoulder seam to the end of the sleeve cuff is 26 1/2 inches, and the top of the collar to the bottom of this jacket is 30 inches.
This flight jacket is still in excellent condition. There are however a few minor scuffs in the leather though, but none of this is bad by any means. The dark brown leather is still soft and supple everywhere. There is no damage anywhere on the wool rib-knit sleeve cuffs, or the waist band. The brass YKK zipper is in perfect working condition. The two pocket, and the two collar snaps are in perfect working condition as well. This jacket is still extremely clean both inside and out.
Be sure to super size all of the pictures for a closer inspection.
