US Military Duffle Bag OD Green Canvas Backpack Straps Vietnam Era 1970s Army
This is the two-strap \"improved\" version of the US military duffle bag, the upgrade from the classic single-handle bag that came into use in the late Vietnam era. The stenciling reads what appears to be a serial/contract number with \"70\" visible, consistent with a 1970 contract date, and \"US\" is stamped in blue on the body. Heavy OD green canvas, metal grommets at the top, black hardware including a snap hook at the closure, a small exterior snap pocket, and the full double shoulder strap system with adjustable buckles that makes this the more desirable carry version. This is a genuine issue bag, not a reproduction.
