This embroidered rate badge features the traditional Navy petty officer design: a silver eagle ("crow") at top, a silver caduceus (winged staff with two serpents) denoting the Hospital Corpsman rating, and three gold chevron stripes on a navy blue twill background, indicating the rank of Chief Hospital Corpsman. This badge is worn on the left sleeve of the Navy dress uniform.
