GENUINE U.S. MILITARY ISSUE USGI ECWCS GEN II FLEECE Heavyweight Black Polartec 300 • Size Medium NSN 8415-01-461-8337 GOOD USED / SERVICEABLE MILITARY SURPLUS Genuine USGI cold-weather fleece in good overall serviceable condition. The jacket shows normal evidence of prior military use and remains wearable and functional. Two specific defects are clearly disclosed below: a small tear inside the right-hand pocket and fraying along the upper edge of the interior Polartec label. SELLER-ASSIGNED SURPLUS GRADE: B / GOOD SERVICEABLE This is a seller-assigned commercial surplus grade and is not an official U.S. Government condition code. Grade B describes a functional used garment showing normal service wear plus localized defects that are fully disclosed and photographed. IMPORTANT — TWO CONDITION DEFECTS 1. RIGHT-HAND POCKET LINING TEAR:
A small tear is present in the fabric lining inside the right-hand pocket, immediately adjacent to the lower end of the pocket zipper / zipper stop. Based on the photographs, the opening is approximately 3/8 to 1/2 inch. The right pocket zipper remains functional. The tear appears limited to the internal pocket fabric and does not appear to extend through the exterior fleece body. Repair is recommended before using the pocket for small loose or heavy objects. 2. POLARTEC LABEL FRAYING:
The interior Polartec label has visible fraying, abrasion, and edge wear along its upper portion. The label remains attached and readable. This is primarily a cosmetic condition issue and does not affect the thermal performance of the fleece. Polartec Classic 300 Construction
This ECWCS Gen II cold-weather fleece uses heavyweight 100% polyester Polartec Classic 300-type fleece designed for substantial cold-weather insulation.
The heavyweight double-sided fleece traps warm air while allowing moisture vapor and excess body heat to escape.
Woven nylon reinforcement panels are positioned at high-wear areas including the shoulders, upper chest, elbows, and forearms.
POLARTEC LABEL CONDITION
The interior Polartec label remains present and clearly identifies the fleece material and care instructions.
The upper edge of the label shows visible fraying, abrasion, and partial edge wear, as clearly photographed. The label remains attached and readable.

YKK ZIPPER CONDITION The YKK zipper hardware is in good condition. The main front zipper and hand-pocket zippers are functional. Visible zipper teeth, sliders, and pull cords appear intact. Detailed Condition Assessment
Fleece body: Fleece retains good overall pile and loft. Normal mild compression from prior wear is visible in some areas.
Exterior condition: No obvious exterior holes, large tears, burns, major repairs, or open seams were observed in the supplied photographs.
Right-hand pocket: A small approximately 3/8–1/2 inch tear is present in the internal fabric lining directly beside the lower zipper termination. The zipper remains functional and the defect does not appear to penetrate the exterior fleece.
Left-hand pocket: No comparable lining tear was observed in the supplied photographs.
Polartec label: The upper portion of the sewn label shows noticeable fraying and edge wear. The label remains attached and readable.
Reinforcement panels: Nylon shoulder, chest, elbow, and forearm sections appear intact with normal light use wear.
Wrist cuffs: Both adjustment tabs are present. Hook-and-loop material shows normal use and light fuzzing.
Hem: Lower hem and visible adjustment drawcords remain present.
Zippers: YKK zipper hardware is in good condition and functional. No obvious broken teeth or damaged sliders were observed.
Contract / specification label: Original Goodwill/DSCP neck label remains clear. The separate military specification / NSN label is substantially faded from age and prior laundering/use but remains present.
General cosmetic wear: Light lint, stray fibers, and normal fleece compression are visible in close-up photographs, consistent with prior use and storage.
