The reverse has a typed French caption on a green slip from \"Associated Press Photo De Paris\". The text is titled \"Retour Du Porte Avion \' Boxer \'.\" and explains that the American aircraft carrier is returning to San Francisco Bay on 11th November after a long voyage in the Far East, noting its planes participated in actions in Korea.
