Ultra-Rare Original Alfred Dunhill Duke Street Store Fusee Clock - Pre-WWIIUp for sale, from the collection of Paul Taylor, who loved and collected vintage lighters for 30+ years, is a one of a kind, museum-quality piece of horological and luxury brand history: an original Antique English Fusee Wall Clock, which hung on the wall of the iconic Alfred Dunhill 30 Duke Street store in London. Historic Origin: Originally hung inside the legendary Alfred Dunhill store at 30 Duke Street, London. WW2 Blitz Survival: Removed prior to WWII when upgraded to an electric clock, allowing it to survive the German Blitz bombing that destroyed the Duke Street store. UV / Blacklight Verified: Examined under blacklight (see listing photos) showing complete fluorescence consistency. The artwork, lettering ("Pipes & Tobacco - dunhill - 30 Duke Street S.W. LONDON"), and heavy spider-web dial crazing show zero modern touch-ups, modern paint, or synthetic restoration.Clock Specifications & Condition Movement: Classic spring-wound fusee movement housed in a solid drop-dial wooden case with brass bezel. Dial Condition: Genuine age-related lacquer crazing and dark patina around the upper perimeter, confirming its original hand-painted finish. Case Condition: Very well preserved with original side/bottom access doors and mounting hardware intact.*The clock needs to be serviced in order to function. This is not simply an antique; it is an irreplaceable, museum-grade centerpiece. Once it’s gone, there isn't another!⭐️ This piece is from the personal collection of the late Paul A. Taylor (1952-2024). Paul was a dedicated craftsman and collector known for his appreciation of fine mechanical design and historical manufacturing. This lighter has been curated and kept as part of a significant private collection.🫶🏻 I do my best to research each piece and list everything to the best of my knowledge - make sure to look at the photos carefully in case I’ve missed anything, and feel free to request further photos if needed. ‼️If I receive additional information about an item, and cannot update the title or description, I will put any new information or updates in the Q&A section.👉🏻 I hate that I have to say this, but please review the details and photos carefully, and PLEASE do not purchase, unless you intend to pay. 👈🏻Thank you!
