- Vintage United Air Lines pilot wings — chromed cast metal with an enameled red, white and blue shield, an upper arc of gold stars, and a lower wreath
- Set with a single stone in the wreath, described by the sale house from which it was acquired as a genuine diamond marking the pilot's advancing tenure. United is documented as using diamond chips on flight officer wings to mark service milestones — the SFO Museum holds an example denoting 30–34 years of service
- Provenance: acquired at sale from the estate of a single United Airlines pilot, alongside other items from the same airman
- Hallmarked on the reverse "LEAVENS MFG. ATTLEBORO, MASS." in raised lettering — Leavens of Attleboro, Massachusetts was a known maker of United's uniform insignia
- Two-piece construction with the star-and-wreath device applied over the wings; approximately 3 inches across, shown against a ruler in the photos. Double-post pin back with safety catches, intact and working
- Condition: very good vintage condition, enamel bright with no visible chips and light surface wear consistent with age
