Unopened Vintage Dixie Peach Pomade Hair Dressing Glass Container 1950s 1960s For Sale

Made by the Lander Company, the bottle for “The Original” is colorless glass, dated from 1940 onward. Dixie Peach pomade was first produced in 1942 and became popular in the 60s with Black performers. It was later widely popularized by entertainer such as Elvis and Johnny Cash. It was marketed to and widely used by Black communities. A wonderful piece of vintage and rockabilly grooming history.
An image search of the original box these jars came from is dating from 1956 through the late 1960s so I would place the age of these jars in the same era. This jar has never been opened. No wear noted. Due to the age of the product, it might be best as an example of vintage advertising or as display on a vintage dressing table.
