Utah State Route 224 route marker.
Up for sale today is this Utah State Route 224 sign. Made to the exact state standards as used in the 1960s along this historic highway. The sign is quite similar to the modern issue, although it makes use of the Series A font that was banned in the 1970s for being too illegible at high rates of speed. Signs using this font are rare to find posted in the field today.
Highway 224 is one of the primary means of access to Park City. It begins at I-80 in Snyderville and proceeds south to Park City. The highway also provides access to some of the area's many ski slopes.
Original highway markers of this style do turn up on the collector's market, but you may be waiting quite a while before you come across a 224 in particular. If one does, you can expect to pay many hundreds or even thousands of dollars for one. So here's your chance to get your hands on a fantastic display piece at a fraction of the price.

This is a high quality, heavy steel sign. Accept no imitations that may be one-third this price, but are one-tenth the quality. No cheap tin to be found here, with the wrong fonts, layouts, size, shape, or any other manner of embarrassing imperfection.
